Drawings, and Paintings Exhibition at Algonquin College 1976
(includes watercolour from the Rocky Mountain Suite 1974)
Jerry Grey’s exhibit at Algonquin College cannot be easily dismissed by those preferring high emotionalism in their art or by those who dislike "hard-edge" compositions. Like the music of Bach, her structured canvases take getting used to. Cerebrally oriented, they nonetheless soar with understated grace. They are, quite simply, beautiful – and like a lovely tune, they do not easily leave one's memory.
